Company

Technology should make the mission clearer.

PropelAR exists to connect the people who understand critical work with systems that make that knowledge easier to apply, practice, and preserve.

Why PropelAR

A small, senior team can ask better questions, move quickly, and stay close to the people doing the work.

Built for complicated physical work.

Defense and aerospace teams operate where equipment, procedures, human judgment, data, and time all intersect. That is exactly where spatial computing can be most useful—and where superficial demonstrations fail fastest.

PropelAR brings together XR software engineering, technical architecture, real-time 3D production, simulation, networking, computer vision, applied AI, and program delivery. We work from the task outward, choosing the technology only after the operational need is understood.

01 / Practical

Utility over novelty

The value is a better inspection, training event, maintenance action, or decision—not a headset demo.

02 / Evidenced

Proof over promise

Each phase should create something stakeholders can experience, measure, review, or use.

03 / Durable

Systems over scenes

Architecture, content pipelines, documentation, and transition matter as much as the visible interaction.

Founder-led engineering

Senior technical judgment stays close to the work.

PropelAR was founded by Joe Sidorowicz, a Lead XR Software Engineer and technical architect with 20 years across software, interactive 3D, and immersive technology.

Joe’s prior professional experience includes production AR, VR, and MR platforms for training, maintenance, inspection, nondestructive evaluation, simulation, digital twins, and visualization across U.S. defense, aerospace, automotive, and enterprise environments. He has led multidisciplinary teams from discovery and estimating through system design, development, optimization, field deployment, and technical reporting.

Experience path

Two decades of making technical ideas tangible.

  1. 2006–2008

    Interactive media foundation

Web development, animation, and visual communication for automotive, education, and publishing clients.

  2. 2008–2018

    Automotive training systems

Software engineering, mobile technical reference, AR/VR exploration, and more than 120 Honda and Acura service-education modules in prior professional work.

  3. 2017

    PropelAR project engagement

Mixed-reality development for Boeing 777X internal use and a 737 MAX display at the 2017 Paris Airshow, delivered in collaboration with Wire Stone, Microsoft, and Boeing.

  4. 2018–2026

    Defense XR leadership

Prior professional experience leading XR platforms and R&D for U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, AFRL, and Coast Guard programs.

  5. Now

    PropelAR reformed

A founder-led consulting practice focused on practical spatial systems, original R&D, and trusted technical delivery.

PropelAR Suite

Document the technology as we prove it.

PropelAR Suite is the internal R&D platform PropelAR is using to test reusable approaches to equipment interaction, guided procedures, spatial interfaces, optimized content, connectivity, and AI-assisted technical support.

The public technology record will grow alongside validated milestones. Until then, the site describes intended capability areas without publishing unsupported performance claims or customer-specific implementations.

Work with PropelAR

Start with the mission, not the medium.

If your team is exploring immersive training, spatial inspection, digital twins, or a new technical prototype, bring us the operational problem.
